Hit to eye after Lasik

Hi, I had a question for anyone who could answer it.  I had iLasik done last Thursday.  My vision was 20/15 in both eyes the next morning at my follow up.  Last night (4 days after surgery) I was playing with my dog and he managed to hit me with his elbow directly in the right eyeball.  Really hurt, went black for a split second.  I noticed immediately that my vision was a bit blurry in that eye.  It was close to bed time so I used my medicated drops and went to sleep.  Eye was still blurry and I went to see my Lasik surgeon today about the issue.  My vision had been reduced to 20/40 in that eye.  The surgeon looked at my eye and said there was no damage to the surgical flap and everything looked fine.  He wants to do a follow up in a week.  He also did an eye exam and my vision is correctable back to 20/20.  I'm not seeing any spots or halos or bright circles.  Does anyone out there have a professional opinion on what happened to me?  Will my vision correct itself in the next week or so?  I'm just concerned & a bit disappointed that I had perfect vision and now I'm blurry in one eye.  Thanks in advance for the help.

You are very early in the post op period for LASIK and the vision will fluctuate.  Trauma usually dislocated a flap.  However, since you refract to 20/20, I don't think this a problem.

The surgeon mentioned that the flap looked good but if my vision doesn't improve they might re-lift and reset it.  I just hope I get my vision back, it was amazing to be able to see clearly after 25 years of glasses/contacts.

Did you have to get your flap reported and reset?? Or did it improve?

I’m following also.. 2 days after surgery I tried on a bikini cause my mom was wondering if it fit. And like a dummy I pulled it over my head instead of down like I normally do. Long story short the strap popped me in my right eye. Day after lasik I had 20/20 in both eyes. At my two week check up (and after getting hit in eye) I have 20/25+ in that eye now. I’m so upset!! My flap is okay they said.

If your surgeon is okay, it may take longer to heal but eventually you should be where you wanted to be.
How can I help with the healing? I’m still doing my systane artifcal tears some. Honestly I’m just praying. Talked to a girl who got hit in the eye a month later by her daughter and her eye hasn’t been the same since. I really don’t want a bikini strap to be the cause I lost my 20/20. PRAYING IT HEALS BACK TO 20/20 if possible! If not would a re treatment be an option?? They told me they wouldn’t touch it unless I was 3 on the near side. :(
Generally use artificial tears, don't rub the eye or have air blowing into it (sleeping under fan,  heating/AC vent on car, etc.
Thanks. Also, Yesterday marked 3 weeks since my surgery and my eye is still not 20/20. It’s messing me up. Like I’m drunk or high or something. In a dream. I hate it. Really praying somehow this heals and I see 20/20 again. But what are the odds of that happening. I mean I think my eye may have been open when the strap hit it but idk. All I know is it felt like a bruise when it hit it.
I can't handicap or give odds. Discuss with your surgeon. Not likely to cause permanent damage.
The doctor I saw was at the same place but wasn’t the surgeon. Just a doctor that checks your eyes and vision.
I will have no more comments.
