It's only been one week since my cataract surgery (side effect of a vitrectomy) and so many people questioned my decision to go with a near distance lens. Of course, I would have loved to have gotten a lens that allowed me to see without glasses, but I didn't want a procedure done on my other eye if it wasn't needed. Plus I've always worn glasses/contact lenses for distance sight so I figured I should go with what I'm used to. I can see really clearly about 11-12 inches out and both eyes seems to be in sync with each other again. At the four week mark I'll receive a new eyeglass prescription and, hopefully, find a really cool new pair glasses to wear.
Thank you for your honesty. 10 months after electing the "premium" IOL, I continue to have issues that affect my daily life. Were I to have a "re-do", I would stick with my glasses.
