What could cause worse non-central vision in once eye?

I have on my left eye: -3 without astigmatism and on my right -0.75 with -0.75(axis = 0/180) astigmatism. Generally my glasses correct my distance as well as near vision, but it seems like my axis has either changed or the astigmatism has gotten a bit more severe, since everything seems to be just a tad bit more blurry than left. (It's still at least 20/30 though.)

There is however a severe difference when I, for example, sit about 60 cm from my PC monitor and hold my finger about 15 cm from my face and focus on it with one of my eyes covered.

My left eye sees the finger in focus while the background blurs moderately
My right eye sees the finger in equal focus but the background goes very blurry, way more than with the left eye.

I'm afraid because I've never heard anything like it before. What might be causing this?

There are too many possible causes to list.   You need to see an eye MD for a medical eye exam and a glasses test (Refraction)

Thanks for the reply but could you at least point me into the right direction? I've already scheduled a reexamination of my refraction. Maybe give the most common possible cause for this? I have no idea how this might even be possible, but it's very worrying and the exam will only be in 3 weeks' time.
I don't like to guess or speculate. You need to see an eye MD ophthalmologist. It's not so much a glasses test as a medical eye exam.  You need to see eye MD not non MD optometrist
