Flashes in far corner of my eye

Hi

I got punched in the eye on the 28th Dec, and i noticed on the 30th that i had a flashing light that went of in the far corner of my left every other minute or so that was far more noticeable in the dark.  After looking into the symptoms it was bought to my attention that i could have a damaged retina. So I went to the eye clinic at the hospital and had a specialist look at my eye, he said my retina was fine and so was the gel inside my eye. He said he couldnt see any abnormalities what so ever. But the flashing is still here if not worse. Will they go away over time? Or shall i go for more tests? I dont have any other problems but the flashing.

Have your eye rechecked. Sometimes a retinal tear or detachment can occur in the weeks and months after the injury.
