Fluorescent eye test

I did the Fluorescent eye test yesterday at my Dr office cause I had some fragment in my eye. I was just curious if the Fluorescent light (think it blue or geen light) is harmful to the eye cause of UV rays. Do those lights have UV rays in them?

For a "normal" and healty eye, the light most likely won't damage anything.  However, there are several cases where people have refused further testing, due to a decrease in vision (permanent) after such light intensive tests.  I can vouch for this myself, having experienced it personally.   Any light in the blue spectrum is potentially harmful to any eye.   Tests such as ERG and FA, are extremely stressful on your retinal cells (photostress).  If you are light sensitive or have any other health issues that causes "abnormal" cell function, beware.
