Help with night vision problem

I have had some issues off an on with blurred vision in my left eye. Last night I was riding in the car with my husband and noticed long streaks of light extending straight up and down from all of the car lights, traffic lights, street lights. The streaks appeared to extend straight up into the sky and straight down to the ground. All of the streaks were the same color as the lights. I have never experienced this before and was so thankful I was not driving. I have also been experiencing ongoing (for about 2 yrs) physical symptoms (numbness, stiffness, pain mostly on my left side as well as extreme fatigue) for which I have seen several docs. What eye condition might cause this?

Thank you so much for your response. I am in the process of scheduling an apt. to see my opthamologist. I currently wear glasses for nearsightedness and last year my exam was good, just a slight change in my prescription. I  am due to go back, so I will see what he has to say. Thanks again. :)
