How can I help her?

I recently posted "Is it enough" and have since scheduled an appointment with a pediatric opthalmologist for my daughter, 3, who has a +5.0 rx, and her eye turns in.  I am wondering if there is anything I can do between now and her appointment to make her more comfortable and ease her eye strain?  And when it comes to her appointment, what can I do to make it an easier, less scary experience?  She is very shy and wary of new situations.

No there really isn't anything you can do.  They will know how to handle kids. You are in good hands.

I am waiting to hear when her appointment will be.  Our pediatrician is working it out with Children's pediatric opthamalogy clinic in Seattle.  I expect it will be few weeks at least.

When is her appointment? Can you tell them she has eye strain and needs one sooner?
Perhaps you could talk to them about her shyness, in advvance. Since they are pediatric, they should be prepared to help.

The doctor will be along. He possibly has more ideas.
