How does gas bubble look when splitting

I had a scleral buckle and vitrectomy 3 weeks ago for a partially detached retina. Last week I started seeing flickers in my peripheral vision. I called and was told this is normal, and that it could be the bubble bumping against my retina. I also see a small dark circle in my upper peripheral vision at about 11:00. When I close my eyes it's a white circle. This is not where my detachment occurred. Could this be the bubble breaking up? And if so, why is it at the top of my vision and not the bottom like the rest of it? The bubble is more than half way gone now.

It is hard to make any judgments about the retina or your vision when there is still gas in the eye.  Again read the other posts. Other people have made these observations.

When the detachment occurred, I saw little "comma shaped" flashes of light traveling between 12:00 and 2:00.This spot I'm seeing is at about 11:00. Could they be related? The flashes between 12:00 and 2:00 were the only symptom. I didn't have any loss of vision prior to surgery.

The visual loss caused by the RD or gas will be 180 degrees from where it occurred. Thus RD on top of eye gives visual disturbance bottom of vision. Use the search feature and read the many helpful posts by people that have had RDs and gas in the eye.
