I had ocular surf reconst & eyes still red. Eyes permanently red&scarred? Pics incl

my surgeon resected a LOT of my tissue to help me with my chalasis problem. I am 5 weeks after surgery, and my redness seems vascular--like a complicated road map. It does not look solid bubbly red like other surgeries I've seen pictures of online that indicated hemorrhaging. My redness seems permanent since they're all mostly blood vessels.

Will my blood vessels fade?
Does it look like I have permanent scarring?
Any idea why I am taking too long to heal?

I am still seeing my surgeon but I still would like to get additional opinions.

Hopefully you are on steroid eye drops.  It will probably take at least 3 months for your eyes to quite down.  You had big time surgery and the inflammation is very obvious since the tissue is transparent and rich in blood vessels.

Yes, I am still on preservative free dexamethasone. In your opinion, is there any significance in the blood vessels in my pictures? Are they prone to fade away? It is a bit odd, my surgeon resected a lot, and it seems like my natural conj is "traveling" from the outer corners of my eyes towards my cornea. So the tissue that's normally hidden away in the side of my eyes are now in the front of my eyes.... which makes the redness look worse cosmetically.
I am trying to be realistic in my expectations. But also,  have you ever had patients whose redness just never went away from ocular reconstruction surgery? albeit from pterygium or chalasis surgery?
Yes of course there are people whose eyes do not clear as well as others but most do well over time. You are 'just beginning" the healing process which will take months. Stay optomistic
Anything I can do to help the healing process?

Restasis?
Decrease computer usage?
Increase steroids?
Kenalog shot?
Omega3 supplements?
None of these are helpful except continuing the topical steroids which you should only do under your surgeons approval

Even where the area is not transparent (the left side of my eye in the image) which is my natural conj, it is very red and inflamed. Almost purple with vascularization. My natural conj was definitely not this red before surgery. Will this color fade and calm down?

Also, where my natural conj meets the membrane, is this scarring?
If you read the disclaimer associated with the MedHelp.org  website it specifically says that we do not try to make specific diagnoses, do not engage in a doctor-patient relationship and wish to adhere to best practices that relate to medical advice forms. I have taken this conversation strand as far as I can and have reached the limits of what we can do in this forum. You have a surgeon and you need to be discussing these questions with him/her. I will have no further comments.
