Levitra and retina! !

hzp
I have type II diabetes, high blood pressure, and high cholesterol.  I am taking Metformin, Toporol, and simvastatin.  They are all under control.  I have a history of retina detachments.  The last two detachments were during the last six weeks.  I do have ED and need some Levitra (5 mg per need). Can I use levitra?  Are they related?

1. No medicine is completely safe and without side effects. The term "safe and effective" are fashioned by the US  FDA .  Only US trial lawyers would have you believe that any and every side effect or complication is grounds for a lawsuit.  2. You will need to discuss that combination of medications with your personal physicians.

You are at risk for anterior non-arteritic ischemic optic neuritis even if you do not take ED products. The relationship between ED products and ANAION  is conjecture and not proven for sure.  There is no hard and fast answer. You will need to discuss this with your personal physicians.
