Implant Power Problems

There are many questions about the problems with picking an intraocular implant (IOL) power to leave a person able to read or drive without glasses. I have said it is not an exact science.

There is an excellent article that should be available on the website of Ophthalmology Times.

"Postrefractive IOL power calcuation still a challenge" Chryle Guttman and Helga Pl Sandoval, MD Ophthalmology Times October 1, 2007 page 56

The first author is "Cheryl"

I suggest going to their website and using the Contact Us feature or just calling them. I don't believe the article is posted. They may not post all articles.

Does anyone have the soft copy of this article yet? Please put it up on a free document hosting website for interested parties to download a copy.

Anyhow, I tried searching through EBSCO. However, I couldn't find this article either in the Oct 1st or Oct 15th issues. Are there any typos in the title or authors' names?

Apparently not. I looked also and could not find it. I thought they posted every article from each issue.

You might be able to get a copy e mailed to you by using the contact us feature or you could e mail Dr. Sandoval and see if he has the original article in an e file. His contact information (without the spacing) is sandoval @  musc.  edu
