LONG TERM USE OF ACULAR DROPS AFTER VITRECTOMY, IN HIGH MYOPIA PREVIOUS CATARACT PATIENT

I HAVE A QUESTION ON WHETHER MULTI YEAR USE OF ACULAR .05 OR ACULAR LS (.04) IS ACCEPTABLE, OR WHETHER IT WILL CAUSE OTHER PROBLEMS.  60 YR, -4 WITH -11 IOL'S CATARACTS 10 YEARS AGO, NOW MACULAR EDEMA AND I HAD RETINA SCRAPE VITRECTOMY, WHICH WAS 20/70 WITH CORRECTION BEFORE. NOW, 2 YEARS LATER, STILL SWELLING, OCT 360, PRESSURE FINALLY U.C., BUT VISION HAS "PIXELS" MISSING, IT NOW READS 20/30 ON CHART, 1 YR POST OP, BUT NOT IN REAL LIFE.
DOES THIS IMPROVE OR IS THAT IT.
ARE THERE OTHER COMPLICATIONS FROM LONG TERM ACULAR
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN ACULAR AND ACULAR LS
JodieJ recommended me to this site and I'm glad I found it,  thank you   Marsh613

Thank you for responding to me.   Yes, I am a steroid responder.  I was on several drops with acular to control pressure after it went to 33 with predforte months use.  I had Nevanac too.    I will ask to try XiBrom.
Do you think the "pixel" missing situation will get better.  The correction number does not really reflect useful vision.  Should I ask for OCT at next exam which is in about a week?
  Thank you.

I doubt there will be any problems.  It has to be monitored.

Topical steroids with acular may be more helpful.  Xibrom an newer Acular type drug is probably more effective.

Other treatments are intravitreal injection of Avastin or steroids (a problem if you are a steriod responder (elevation of IOP with steroids).
