I've had vitreous detachment which leads to peripheral retina detachment.
My ophtalmologist said he has no problem with this peripheral detachment,
He treated me by laser to protect further detachment that will probably move to the center area.
However, the laser treatment cannot make the circle of the detached retina because of capability of the laser equipment itself. He said he lasered as a water dam. (No cryopexy needed)
My question is: How important is the peripheral retina to the vision?
Will the detached retina get back to normal at a specific of time?
