Pathological myopia?

Hi, does pathological myopia always begin in childhood? And can early adult-onset myopia develop into pathological myopia? Thank you for any input.

It's like asking when do kids start to grown.  Sort of all over the place isn't it?  Most path myopia will begin in childhood.  Rare to have path myopia develop after 20.  I have simple/mild myopia and it began in medical school about age 28.  Remembeer spending a hour outdoors most days reduces myopia.

Thank you for your reply. I also have simple/mild myopia and it begin at 21, I could of have it earlier but that's when I got my eyes tested. I'm 28 now and from 21 to 27 it didn't change much but in the last year it changed quite a bit. My myopia is still simple/mild myopia but it worries me it could develop into pathological myopia in the future.
At 28 not likely at all.
