What exactly is Negative Dysphotopsia I think I may have the symptom for it

It seems to be a scotma because it comes from and protrudes from my natural blind spot, when I turn my head or eyes it looks like a shadow that curves and gets longer as I move my eyes but eventually goes away if I blink or look further.

I looked it up online and they said one of the symptoms could be Negative Dysphotopsia could any one explain what that is exactly? Could it lead to blindness or does it get better over time? Because I went to retinal doctors and they said my retinas were strong and no signs of retinal detachment. So what could Negative Dysphotopsia  be? Thank you

Negative dysphotopsia is a dark spot in the vision that comes from an intraocular IOL. Any IOL can cause it but premium IOLs (multifocal or accommodating) are much more likely to cause.

Use the search feature and archives to read about the problem.

See an Eye MD IOL specialist. Tell them you think your problem is due to dysphotopsia IOL take in your IOL card
