New floaters, VERY annoying...

I have had tiny floaters for all of my adult life, and I am quite myopic. I suddenly have what resembles a giant tree branch or cob web in my eye... It actually resembles the "negative" of a photo of a lightning bolt. It is beginning to obscure the vision in my left eye. Is this something that will just fade over time? I also have developed a headache which I assume is from the stress of trying to ignore it.
