I had PRK eye surgery about 10 months ago in March, and all starbursts and halos went away as I was told. My eyes had stabilized at that point and were perfectly fine until about 7 months post-op. However, at the 7 month mark, my eyes started to develop those darn annoying starbursts again, and now I am seeing halos around some lights and some glare.
Usually when there is sufficient ambient light, the starbursts go away. They are most noticeable in dim light conditions, but when I shine a light into my eyes temporarily, the starbursts vanish (only temporarily) when I look away. But then they slowly come back as my eyes dilate. I'm guessing
it's because the ablation (lasered) area of my eyes is slightly smaller than my dilated pupils.
I have been hearing about PRK enhancements and if I should look into it to get rid of this problem. I think I may have a surgery induced astigmatism (I had none at before the surgery). Can anyone help me out with suggestions and previous experiences? I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!!!
