8 days ago I had an allergic reaction to some yard work. My right lower eyelid swelled up and partially blocked my vision. It started to go down in a day, but then I noticed lightning arcs in the periphery and an inky black curtain start at the bottom of my right vision and creep up to about 2/3 of my right eye's vision in a span of about 36 hours. Then, the dark spots started to fade, and what I have been experiencing lately is a cobweb sort of brownish background in my right eye, and two or three somewhat darker 'blobs' that move around as I move my eye. My vision is distorted around these 'blobs' and sometimes they are clear like bubbles. I was diagnosed with a large stye in my lower right eyelid. My optometrist said the dark spots are caused by the stye. It has been five days since seeing my doctor and the stye has gotten a little smaller, but I am concerned there has been damage done to my retina or PVD symptoms? I do recall rubbing my eyes a lot when it was swollen - could that have caused some damage?
