Pain and irritation in eyes because of ocular herpes since 14 years

I have irritation in the eyes for last 14 years ever since I had herpes some time get blurry vision  have seen ophthalmologist few times  but no solution.really frustrated with  the situation no solution have been talking valtrex one each day . Really need some kind of help on this

I would suggest you get your records together and head for the closest medical school department of ophthalmology. As to be seen by a cornea specialist.  Nothing else I can add given the informationl you supplied.

Thanks for your reply I would go again I just went to a  ophthalmologist on September but he said there is no previous scar of outbreak he saw some kind of allergy I am hard time with the nagging irritation from this issue I can’t live normally because of this. I will again make appointment with a ophthalmologist but just want to add I am male 44 years and diabetic since 2019 . If that make the problem  even more . Thanks again if you can recommend any. Place in us  I live in canada and over here it’s impossible to get  appointments.

It is becoming impossible to get appointments in the US.  I tried to get a family member in to see a neurologist and it was a 4 months wait, for a dermatolist a 6 month wait.  You understand that physicians are not generic items. Some are brilliant, some should not even be in medicine.  So you want a bright, well regarded ophthalmologist.  Just the eye alone has about 8 'sub-specialties" These Eye MDs have 1 to 3 years extra training (Fellowships) in their area of expertise. I do not know where in Canada you live but if west  U of Washington Dept of Ophthalmology is good, in Minnesota the Mayo Clinic is among the best, if not the best tertiary care center in the world.   You want a cornea specialist.  You will need to be followed so you want something you can get to realively easily.  Let me know where you live and I can suggest the high quality Ophthalmology departments

In NYC   Manhattan Eye & Ear is highly regarded, I would also recommend any of the universities school of medicine, dept of ophthalmology, except Columbia U which is think is sub-par
