Cornea Injury

Tags: cornea, damaged

Hello,

I am 17 and I had a cornea injury to one eye caused by a thorn some 6 weeks ago. The thorn was removed from the infected cornea 5 days after the accident. There is not infection present but vision is significantly blurred.

I would like to know what the chances are that the scar dissapears completely and my good vision is restored.

What should I do to speed up the healing process and what should I avoid?

Thank you for your consideration of these questions,  May.

Nothing to avoid and no treatment to speed up recovery.  This may not fully recover good vision and you may need a corneal transplant.
