Retinal Tear

I had a retinal tear a week ago ... The next day I started to see a large floater that would swirl in front of my vision - and stay there and cause blurriness. It's been over a week & it hasn't gone away.  Everytime i move my eye it comes right back in front of my vision .. question is this permanent ?  I never had floaters in that eye.  Did the lazer surgery cause this floater?  I'm concerned this is permanent.

Sounds like leftover pvd caused by the tear, not the laser. Likely permanent like many sufferers here but may shrink or sink with time.
