Scleral Buckle Removal after cataract surgery

Anybody had scleral buckle removal? Specifically after already having cataract surgery? I’m having some side effects and removal may be necessary. The rx in the eye isn’t correct anyway so I’m still wearing glasses so I don’t really care about that part. Is it “safe” per se..as in the shape of the lens with be fine when the eye presumably goes back to its original shape..or something in between…

You need to discuss this with your retina surgeon.  Retina surgery is so unique and different it is not possible to generalize like cataract/IOL surgery. Sometimes they just cut the buckle but leave it in place.   I'm not sure "safe" should be applied to any surgery anymore than you can say "driving is safe".  In anycase can't offer any insights on this, speak with the surgeon.
