Greetings,
I am 37 years of age and am -17 myopic in both eyes. I recently (3 weeks ago) underwent emergency retinal reattachment surgery. The procedures done for me were Scleral Buckling and Vitrectomy. In my last checkup I was told that a had a Vitreous hemorrhage. After an Ultrasound was done of the eye, the retina seemed to be in tact. I was advised by my surgeon that the best course of action would be to simply wait and the blood that is mixed with the vitreous fluid should be absorbed by the body in time. My questions are:
Do you agree with my surgeons diagnosis? He is highly regarded in his field and I have no reason to dismiss his opinion other than he is really busy.
Secondly, if you do agree what is usually the amont of time it takes for such a Vitreous hemorrhage to dissipate. I currently see extremely hazy and foggy and no detail?
Thank you
