Cataract Complications

I had cataract surgery & the dr was able to remove the cataract but could not insert the lens. She didn't think the capsule or tissue would hold it. I have to see a retina specialist to have a basic lens inserted. I was told they could not insert a toric lens. Why is this? Would lasik help after the surgery? Also, I now have a floater. I have been in quite a bit of pain. It's been 5 days.

Most likely you had an operative complication called capsular tear, with or without  vitreous loss.  Lasik surgery will not help this. Using the approact the retina surgeon it is not possible to line up a toric IOL accurately. This is a serious coplication.
