I get this all of the time. I'm a 12 year old and I do not wear glasses, but my optitions say I have a ripped retena in my left eye (the only eye these bury white things come up in.). Hope I could help a bit :)
My mom's research, It may be that the blood in the very find veins in the eyes gets 'tacky', sticks together, and causes the vein to 'burst'. Mine last anywhere from 20Min to 1.5Hr. I take Green Tea capsules every day, they help keep the blood from getting 'tacky'. Also, drinking lots of water during the day helps me. Hope it helps.
God i thought I was the only one who got these, I get them sporadically and some times frequent but 10-15 seconds long.
But i remember these way back from when I was a early teen.
Is there anything that really explains why we get them?
I sometimes have symptoms like raindance42 in the other thread.
I get white-blind spots that flicker around the edges, and a MASSIVE headache afterwords.
But, It only happens the day after I don't drink enough water.
We don't know why I get these, but I HATE them.
Thank you for responding. Yes they have been around for awhile. A few years now, so I should not worry? What are floaters if you have time to explain? Can I get rid of them?
Are you describing what you see? If so, it sounds like a floater. If they have been present for sometime, I would not be concerned.
