Seeing lightening flash and its effect on eyes

Yesterday i saw lightening flash through reflection from ground water, though i got no symptoms like blurring, red eye, burning etc it brought some anxiety  weather it damaged any part of eye permanently.

Is it safe to watch such flashes or what part of eye got affected if one sees lightening directly (not meant a direct lightening strike, just watching flash)
can it affect retina & cause floater's etc

Thank You

one would probably be gone if struck by one.

Watching lightening flash directly or reflected will not hurt the eye unless you are struck by the lightening
