Should I get lenses

Dr. Hagan,
Thanks for your advice.

My vision is R  VA 50,  L VA 40,
My prescription is R +2.50 both eyes,  Right +2.00 -.75  x95   Left  +1.25 -.50  x82

Do my vision numbers affect your recommendations?
What is the difference between mono-vision which you dont recommend and monofocal which you do recommend?

Thanks
Jeff

You mean you have cataracts and are having cataract surgery? Then a monofical Technis IOL with one eye set about -0.25 for distance, the other eye -1.00  then use glasses for reading.

Dr. Hagan,
I have been using no line progressive glasses comfortably for years.
You say monovision lenses are not suitable for me what about monofocal?   far or near?
would a Tecnis lens be suitable?

Thanks
Jeff

Yes you need glasses. The best type would be no line progressive bifocals.  Unless you have worn monovision contacts for many years you will likely not be able to tolerate monovision.
