Strobe-like effect in Vision with after images

So I have the strobe-like effect when waking up in the morning. It comes with a sensitivity to light as well and after images. It’s only in my right eye and I have been diagnosed with an epiretinal membrane in that same eye. I recently went to Massachusetts for a week and the strobe effect didn’t happen in my vision the entire time I was there. Now that I’m back in Colorado it’s started again. Are there environmental factors that can make this worse? Things I should look for in my house? Could it be the higher altitude?

It could be altitude/dryness. Or it could be something in your sleeping environment like sleeping with a fan in the room, or if you wear a CPAP. If it is persistenting then I would call your local ophthalmologist. If it is your sleep environment it should be a lot better.
