I can reproduce the central circle in my own eye with forced blinking and close attention. At this point "watchful waiting" would seem to be in order. If nothing changes move on with your life. If something changes return to Duke.

Searching the web for a possible clue as to what this circle centrally located upon not only blinking, but while reading, looking at the sky and I would say I have this in my central vision almost always now. Used to be occasionally, but now nearly constant.
You stated it might be a pressure phosphene if of a short duration. Not the case here as far as time. Sometimes lasts for hours. Used to be in left eye and now bi-lateral.
Been tested at Duke Medicine in Durham, NC. Can find nothing and never seemed to have heard of this symptom.
Thank you, Steff
Is this still happening for you? I have it too but it's worsening
Yeah that's why I really forgot all my other symptoms which are really really weird, but this is a new one that started about a month ago.
Thanks for the Answers Doctor Hagan. I was (still a little) worried with this new one because it was on my central vision.
Almost all serious problems would have shown up over that 9 year period. I would try and relax a little and not dwell on it.

Hi Dr Hagan yes, is just when blinking like if it were an afterimage, I see it easier with rapid blinking or just blinking once when I wake up or in dim light rooms, same shape in both eyes. My macula seems to be ok as it was seen by a retinologist. I hope is a phosphene because the blinking, I have had a lot of weird things in my eyes for 9 years and well, Im still here seeing without major problems.
if it lasts just momemtary its likely a entopic phenomen likely a pressure phosphene.
