Macular Pucker risk?

Hi. I may go thru surgery due to lattice degeneration that seens to be causing me to see a blob of light when I blink in the corner of the eye. The retina specialist saw the degeneration only in the very peripheral of the retina, do I have risk of a macula pucker because the surgery if he only laser the peripheria?

He says there may be random symptoms like seeing color dots on the area he will laser that may not disspaear.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the answer, sorry if it was posted on the other thread as well.

If you don't mind to tell, why is a macular pucker formed after laser treatment?, I read about it  but no one says why. I Read also that the percentage at least is low being around 1% but also, you get a risk of acute or mild pucker?

As you may see Im a bit worried about that risk, I went to another doctor as you said but he also didn't see nothing and saw the lattice, he said that if it was symptomatic it should be fixed.

Thanks again.
