Water with paint in eye

Hello there. I was in work today and as I work in childcare I was required to wash paint off the hands of one of the children. When I was washing the hands a bit of painty water got in my eye. I haven’t washed it out. Is this likely to cause any damage and should I wash the eye?

Thank you.

of course wash out the eye, ideally a commercial eye wash, or artificial tears. Whenever you get some liquid in the eye that is not supposed to go into the eye it needs washed out. No a tiny amount of paint usually does not cause serious problems.
