Dark spot and floaters in the right eye?

My right eye has a dark spot behind the lower eye lid. And i have alot of floaters. My right eye is clearer and better than my left eye. Should i go for a check up? But please provide me some options to do first.

Hello, I am not a doctor but in my opinion if you are having any changes to your vision or symptoms please do see an eye md (ophthalmologist).  It probably is nothing but you will worry about it needlessly until you do.  If you have never had your eyes examined thoroughly by an eye md, perhaps now would be a good time to start anyway.....get a baseline on things and start annual checkups.  I put it off too long and a simple laser repair to fix a tear in my retina resulted in a much more invasive surgery to fix.  Good luck, Jim

Adding.....after re-reading I see you mention a black spot.  If this is in your vision this is an emergency....call now, or go to an ER with an ophthalmologist on call  as this could be a retina issue!!   Time would be of the essence if this is the case.
