Some lens manufacturers market their products highlighted as UV blocking lenses like it's something new while UV blocking lenses have been around since forever.

Thanks for the answer. It's safe to say then that for spectacles it's a bit older I think. Then "UV transmission" glasses should be highlighted if someone wants to buy one.
