bar code scanner laser shone straight into eyes

So i was working minding my own business when a co worker who i barely even know decided to shine a bar code scanner phone straight into my eyes point blank as a "joke?" i have some previous eye damage from a welding incident and my blinking reaction is a little slow plus i wasnt expecting it. the scanner shines a flash light and laser at the same time so that might of helped a little. The laser is in a cross like sniper scope instead of a singular dot. I just saw blinding light for a second and then shut my eyes. Heres the information and specs i could find on the exact bar code scanner that was shone in my eyes.(the scanning section in the picture) what class of laser does this qualify as? How screwed am i? Dont worry i quit my job then and there. https://www.reddit.com/user/ApprehensiveBarber16/comments/zut9n3/e/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3

im gonna awnser my own question with the laser specs i found.

after some deep research its class 2 laser which according to the internet is below 1 millwatt. So idk the real power rating but we know its under a milwatt

the wavelength is 655 NM.

and it emits in a cross not a point and also emits a white light upon activation fron 2X white LED's.

All sounds fairly safe except for the fact it was legit point blank like maybe 2 inches away at most and flash blinded me.
