can I gain 20/20 vision without line 8 with both eyes on Snellen test

I need to have 20/20 vision without the use of glasses for a job roll, on the Snellen chart test I could read to line 8 - 20/20 with my right eye, but only line 7 with my left eye, I've been referred to an optometrist in order to have a test done. It states that I should have my visual acuity tested using the standard Snellen chart from 6 meters and different charts are to be used for each eye, no errors in a line are allowed. The chart that needs filling in states "right eye" visual acuity - uncorrected - corrected and "refraction" - sph - cyl - axis. And the same for the left eye.

Can somebody explain this to me and what is the likelihood of me having 20/20 overall vision without the use of glasses? I've spent a long time sitting lots of tests and exams for this job only to be hit with this at the very last stage.

Is there anyway I can prepare my eyes for a better chance at this test?

Thank you.

If you can have 20/20 without glasses using both eyes no problem. You passed the test because of your RE.  If it has to be 20/20 with each eye the test you describe was 20/25 for the LE.   If they test you again and you squint a little bit with the LE you might be able to eak out 20/20
