Thanks so much for your good advice.
So I should fix the pterygium first as the refractive lens would require more accurate biometry/power calculation?
Would it be advisable to delay the op for say 1 yr since my pterygim is still small (~1.5mm) and my cataract scelosis is low (R1.5)?
1. I just had my other cataract eye (L) operated with ReSTOR +3 IOL and LRI at the same op which still left with residue -0.5DS x -0.75DC x 158 (from -9.5DSx-0.75DCx 110 preop).
My O.D. is puzzled with my Near reading vision of N10 one month after the op. I chose ReSTOR IOL with the intent to have better Reading vision, but the ghosting together with weaker contrast of ReSTOR just did not realised my aim.)
I was told that postop residue of -0.5DS is considered very good, I just not sure if I can achieve N5 reading vision by getting rid of the double image/ghosting?
It depends on the size and the type of cataract surgery. It also can be done at the same time.
Fix the pterigium first If you want a refractive cataract surgery (toric. multifocal, accommodating).
