Eyeball Pain and dimming vision

Two weeks ago i got a strange pain in my right eyeball. It was kind of at the back of my eyeball.it kept getting  worse till i had difficulty with eye movement. everytime i moved my eye left righ up down i felt excruciating pain. the eye also hurts when pressed. a week later my vision in my right eye suddenly became dim and blotchy.

I have been to three eye doctors, they have examined my eye, and all three of them say my vision is fine. and none of them are telling me what is wrong. they keep saying it will be fine. Its now been two and a half weeks. im keeping my pain under control by taking lots of painkillers but the dimness is exhausting, its putting a strain on my good eye.

does anyone know what this is?

You may have retrobulbar optic neuritis.  Make sure you are seeing an EyeMD (ophthalmologist) and not an optometrist (non MD).

I had my 2nd cataract surgery done last week. The first one (left) went well, the second one (right) not so much. My vision has only improved somewhat ... I still have all the symptoms I had before the surgery ... yellowish haze, dim, grainy and blurry. Plus the focal distance is off between the L & R eyes (meaning objects in the left eye seem a little further away than in the right eye). To me it's as if some (maybe 50%) of the cataract was not removed. Does this occur often? Can the doctor see if there is cataract still in there? Can the remaining cataract be safely removed?

The doctors i have consulted are ophthamologists. They have told me clinically the eye is fine. Vision tested okay , eye pressure etc. all normal.

If my vision is fine why am i experiencing dimness and pain?

Should i consult a neurologist?
