LAL : light adjustable lens

what do you think about using the light adjustable lens iol to restore accomodation in young patients with monofocal IOLs?   it"s possible? Thanks!

Dr. John Doane, MD of Discover Vision Centers here in Kansas City is implanting the light adjustable IOL with good results HOWEVER the slow as molasses, governmental inept FDA limits the number that can be done.  And yes the USA  Food and Drug Administration "Drug and Device Delay" is literally killing Americans.

And here we are, 4 years later, and the LAL seems to be available north (Canada) and south (Mexico) of the US border.  Not to mention Europe and Asia.  Waiting on the FDA seems to be an exercise in futility.
Do we have any newer insights into the Calhoun Light Adjustable Lens?  Anybody had them implanted?

It is possible. they are expertimental
