There is no iris to put an iridotomy in. I have no more comments. JHMD
i'm sorry for adding a question
i have one more question...sorry
um...does iridotomy need when implanting aniridia ring in ciliary sulcus or on the iris to make aqueous humor's circulation smooth?
thanks for answering
i add a information
my night glare symptom disappears when pupil contracts to small size
thanks doctor
doctor i have a one more question
i had a lasik surgery and after the surgery, i come to have a night glare
because of pupil diameter at the night or dim light
in this case, implantking an aniridia ring in the ciliary sulcus can help cure my glare symptom? or it must be put on the iris to cure my symptom?
and is there any case that implant aniridia ring on the iris?
please answer when you see this
thank you.
This is the link to the company that makes them:
http://www.morcher.com/en/videos/aniridia-implants.html
The implant rests in the ciliary sulcus, the space in front of the focus muscle of the eye (ciliary body)

Please understand that I cannot diagnose your child's problem. India has many fine ophthalmologists and good medical schools. See if you can get your child to a medical school ophthalmology department and ask them about artifical iris. It sounds like your child has more problems than just fixed pupils.

Thank u Dr JCH for ur reply, u have given me hope. I'm always worried abt her future. pl tell me when r u going to start treatments in India. At what age my daughter can be treated?
Further I want to tell u, what her doc told us, there is a small membrane on her pupils b'coz of which her pupil size is fixed, and does not constrict to light. also I have noticed that her pupils are spread such way that its upper border touches her iris border. I mean to say in normal eyes the 2 circles never touch each other, but in her eyes inner circle(i.e. large pupil) touches outer circle.
Artificial iris's that u have suggested are removable or fixed surgically ? With these can she open her eyes like us ?
pl reply sir
1. If the child has no pupil (aniridia) or part of the pupil missing (iris coloboma) or the pupils are large and don't close down ( idiopathic mydriasis) then there are artifical iris's that can be inserted into the eye to make new pupils (they don't move or get smaller but they create a small round opening) Last time I looked they were manufactured in Germany by Morcher.
2. I would start with the most famous medical schools in your country and then check with the pediatric ophthalmology department.
