dyplopia after cataract surgery

I have used monovision for over 20 years.  I have had one contact for distance in my left eye.  My right eye is fine for reading.  I had cataract surgery one year ago (2022 both eyes) and have had double vision ever since.  I have had prism glasses made which I'm trying to adjust to.  I can't read with them on and viewing anything within a 4-5 foot range is blurry. I was told surgery for the muscle in my left eye is risky and not advised.  I'm a very young 70 year old needing a remedy for my problem.  Is there a solution?

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
I would suggest you make an appointment at a medical school department of ophthalmology that is within driving distance. They type of Eye MD ophthalmologist you need to see is called a strabismus specialist (also a pediatric ophthalmologist since most eye muscle problems are in children/most of these doctors treat adults).  Take your records with you as well as a copy of your glasses prescription. If you have access to more than one medical school then chose the one with the better reputation or that can see you sooned.

Thank you for your advice.
Good luck, and if you have time post again after the consultation
