eye pushed in smaller than other

Hi,

About 4 to 5 years ago I got hit in my left eye and I got cut on the side under my eye lid which gave me a scar. My skin got pulled up side ways and gave me a little eye bag, but that dosent bother me. What really bothers me is that I noticed that my eye got smaller than the other and its irritating. I think my eye got pushed back side ways that gave me the eye bag in the first place. I have used to doctors recommended creams and eye drops to stop the irritation, but that dosent help the eye problem. I went back to my doctor and he told that he was gona make an appointment with a plastic surgeon, will that help? Or is there a way that my eye can get back the way it was or at least a little better?

Thank You
