eyes

Hello
I wanted to test my night vision, so I conducted a dark adaptation test at home with what I could do.  I don't neccessary have anything wrong with my eyes at night, I just wanted to see.  So, I placed a couple of white index cards with dark letters written on them on a wall.  I shut the lights off in a dark room and after the lights were off, I immediately identified the card and the letters in a matter of 3 seconds or so.  I was about 3 feet away from the wall.  This is good right?  If I can immediately identify them in a matter of seconds, does this mean my eyes and night vision are good?

Thanks for your time!

I'm not trying to be mean here, so don't take this the wrong way: You ask a lot of questions, which can be simply answered by doing a bit of research on the web. So, why not research first, and then if you need further clarification of something ask here.
Also, as you seemed to be worried about your visual health, why don't you just go and see an eye doctor? It would ease your mind and you would have a chance to get some answers to your many questions.
Again, I'm not trying to be rude or otherwise mean, so please don't take my comments the wrong way.

Neither.  It doesn't mean your eyes are healthy and it doesn't mean your night adaptation is perfect.

Sara I'm afraid I'm going to end this discussion of your night vision. If other people want to comment that's fine.
