grey spot on white of eye

I'm sorry if you've answered this question already, however searching through the forums, I can't find an answer to this.

My 2 1/2 old daughter has a grey spot on the white of her eye.  It looks like a blood vessel, but it's not red.  I'm concerned and she seems to itch her eyes a lot.  Not sure if it's due to that or not though.  Pediatrician doesn't think it's anything serious.  Should I take her to an eye doctor?

Also, I have a 9 month old who seems to always get an eye lash in her eyes. Should I just ignore it or try to get it out with a Q-tip.  I'm worried that the longer it stays in there, it might scratch her eye.  Thank you in advance.

Most of these are small clumps of pigment where the veins travel through the white of the eye (sclera) under the white layer there is a dark pigmented layer (choroid).  Just have the peds watch it. They tend to be less prominent as the child grown.

I am a community leader here, not a doctor. I am also an experienced eye patient. Welcome to our community

The doctor will answer your questions soon.

I might suggest that you not use a q-tip inside the eye.
