JOIN RESEARCH WORK OR NOT?

I HAD RETINAL DETACHMENT IN LEFT EYE AND MULTIPLE HOLES IN RETINA IN RIGHT EYE AT AGE OF 18. SCLERAL BUCKLING WAS DONE IN RIGHT EYE .CRYOSURGERY WAS DONE IN RIGHT EYE.I AM USING GLASSES WITH -13 IN RIGHT EYE AND 15 IN LEFT EYE.BEFORE SURGERY IT WAS 11 AND 10 RESPECTIVELY. PLZ TELL ME CAN I JOIN RESEARCH WORK.?  I HAVE DONE M.Sc BIOTECHNOLOGY.

I have the same problems and my doctors know I read constantly. I am finishing a Ph.D.
Have you talked with your doctors? The surgeons who know your eyes can best answer this, but I do not believe reading can harm you, unless your are recovering from surgery.

The doctors here will also give you some feedback.

I AM ASKING IF I CAN JOIN PH.D IN LIFE SCIENCES? OR IT CAN PUT STRAIN ON MY EYES . OR I SHOULD OPT FOR SOME EASY COURSE SO AS TO MAINTAIN MY EYE SIGHT FOR  LONG RUN?

I think you are asking if it is a good idea. You have a proclivity for that kind of work; I think you might be good at it, plus you have motivation to find answers. It would also take patience. Try contacting people in that field for an opinion, not for a jog, at first, any way.

That's how I found out that I should NOT be a lawyer.

I'm not sure what you're asking. Whether you want to do retinal research or be enrolled in a retina study.  In either case with that degree ou know how to search the internet for answers to either proposition.
