What could be the cause of blurry vision after poking my eye?

I accidentally poked my eye with my finger. It wasn't watering. I closed my eye and slightly moved my finger on my closed eyelid and put some lubricating drops and I slept for 8hours. My eye was hurting at that point like some dirt is in my eye at the point of poking.  I visited my eye doctor and he gave me some drops and a gel and in a day my eye healed.  It's been 10 days and I have been seeing things blurry from that eye both far and near.  My doc says that the wound has healed and it could be due to change in my prescription but my vision was alright before that. Could it be astigmatism or is it something else.  Please help.

The cornea does not heal quickly. studies have shown that to be fully healed, best case, takes about 6-8 weeks especially if the cornea abrasion is extensive or deep. Continue the artificial tears and gel at bed time. Normally a abrasion does not change the glasses RX.   So you are no where near the completely healed stage.

Thanks doctor :)
Very important artificial tears during day 3-4 times lubricating gel at bedtime.   Until at least 6 weeks post injury.   If you feel like stopping read about recurrent cornea erosions due to previous cornea abrasion.
Ok,  I will make sure of that.  Does this mean that the blurriness will go away in this time.  I am very worried about that as I am only a teen and I have so much to do in life.  Thanks again :)
Obviously I can't tell you what will happen with you. But as a generalization if you saw your eye doctor and your cornea looked okay then with drops, gels and time most people make full recovery.
Ok. Thanks a lot for the information and your precious time.
You are welcome. Have a great and meaningful life.
Thank you, sir.  You too.
