itchy after laser retinal surgery

hi. my dad had retina tear and he just had a laser surgery. i remember the doctor asked him not to bend his head down. my dad was stubborn. he insisted to drive all our way home. and this morning he said some of the floaters have accumulated together as a clump. he then did his chores and bent his head down MANY MANY times. after i burnt the incense ( we are chinese ) , he complaint that his eye felt itchy. so doctor, is it because what he had done causes this? or is it because the incense? thanks =)

You need to discuss that with the surgeon, no way I can tell.

my dad have to work at the 7th day right after the surgery. and his work involves carrying some heavy things and welding blah blah stuffs. will this be okay? will this lead the breaking of wound or a second tear? i'm really worry. what should he do to lower the risk? wearing goggles?
