macula

I had a versectomy almost eight weeks ago.  I still do not see out of my eye now I am being told that the macula has inflamation and thats why i am not seeing clear.  I am told that my eye sight may stay the same or get slightly better they are not sure. I was wandering how long does it take or is my eye sight ever going to be the same?

i had a detached retina.  I had the buckle procedure and the gas bubble.  It's been over eight weeks and the eye site did not come back.  I have poor vision 20/100 at this time.  The macula was not detached but the oct shows inflamation.  How long will it take for my vision to come back?

I can't really understand what is going on from your description. I assume you had a vitrectomy. That's a pretty serious operation. What was it for? Do you have a gas bubble in your eye from the operation? Or silicone oil? If you have macular edema, it can take weeks or even months to clear. It may depend on what your original problem was that required a vitrectomy.
