one month after Hyphema - still blurry vision

• 28 Jan – I am soccer player - I wear contact lenses (-8) - a ball hit my right eye - admitted to the hospital - stayed there 4 days
• Suffered bleeding in the eye (Hyphema) - I could see light but was blurry
• Retina is ok
• 2 weeks bed rest
• After 3 weeks the eye was fully recovered with a very slight blurred vision– I was cleared to only jog and do light training wearing my glasses
• After four weeks I was cleared to play soccer again including heading the ball
• I have been wearing my contact lenses during training only
• I have been using three drops three times a day (Alphagan – Nevanac – Azarga)
• This has been lowered to twice a day so wearing contact lenses would be more comfortable
• I still complain though of blurred vision and I have been advised that the lens of the eye has been affected by the trauma and it has only 95% recovered. I was given the solution to just live with it or do surgery to replace the lens

I would love to hear any views here. I cannot do surgery now due to work/soccer and would like to know if there is any recommended solutions or if anyone has suffered the same?

Thanks and regards,

What you have been told in other and more precise words is you have a cataract and glaucoma so your eye did not make recovery and thus your blurred vision.  I suggest you get a completely independent second opinion from another highly qualified ophthalmologist.

Many thanks for your prompt response. I understand that is cataract. He suggested that if I am not comfortable with the blurred vision then surgery to replace the lens of the eye can be done.
Okay then it's your decision on how much it bothers you and whether you want surgery.  Read carefully the article on this link:   http://www.medhelp.org/user_journals/show/1648102/Consider-ALL-the-Options-Before-Your-Cataract-Surgery-Working-Through-Whats-Best-For-You  ;
