refraction 20/800 after cataract surgery

My optometrist mentioned that my vision was 20/800 8 weeks after cataract surgery.  I was surprised since the most nearsighted I remember was 20/400 decades ago.
The refraction for this eye after cataract surgery was -1.75D and the spherecal equivalent was 1.50D
I chose to have the second eye implanted with a -1.0D lens but have not had the refraction yet.
I lost my balance and fell recently and I'm wondering if there is a connection.
Does any of this make sense?

Someone pointed out that I must have misunderstood and it's likely that the number was 20/80.  I'd delete my question but don't know how ...

Your post conveys little useful information.  Was this distance vision? Or near.  Uncorrected? Or corrected?  What was the vision at distance with -1.75 lens?   In the other eye the spherical equivalent is not important it's the full refraction with cylinder and vision with that lens.    The intraocular lens will not be a -1.00  you may have picked an IOL with a targeted post op refractive error of -1/5-    There may be a legitimate question you are trying to ask but it is not apparent from your posting.
