retinal detachment and lifting

I had retinal detachment surgery on the left eye 3 1/2 weeks ago. The majority of my day is spent  liufting 100 lb bags, tipping over 200 lb drum, or hand scooping materials from drums which causes me to bend over at the waist inorder to collect material from the bottom of the drums which are waist high. I weigh raw materials fur pharmaceutical product manufacturing. I also do alot of pulling and tugging of materials. What could I expect as far as recovery time to return to my work

Dear Mr. Oyakawa!

Could you please outline the main do's and don'ts (or simply don'ts) concerning exercises for myopic people, especially in heavy lifting?

I saw a lot of questions within the forum about this and personally asked some questions. But it strikes me that sometimes the answer is "lifting is safe", sometimes (as just now) - "lifting is not recommended"... Is a weight the main point here? Or a type of the exercise?

Thank you in advance, Mr. Oyakawa!

You need to discuss this with your surgeon.  Every retinal detachment is different.  In general this type of heavy lifting is not recommend.
